What types of personal data we process?

Information necessary for operation

We process information that is necessary and relevant to the conduct of our business. This includes information on cooperation, customer and contractual relationships, as well as information on the production, management and development of assignments and services. In addition, we process information about students and stakeholders, as well as information needed in order to carry out events, training, occasions and internal projects.

The processed information relates to the contact details, identification or to other related background information of the above-mentioned parties or their representatives. Data can also be collected on joint activities, depending on their form. The information is mainly collected directly from the above-mentioned parties or their representatives.

The legal basis for the processing is legitimate interest based on customer or other relationship, service provider or invoicing. In addition, the legal basis is the preparation and performance of the contract or other cooperation, and the fulfillment of legal obligations (such as accounting and taxation). The legal basis may also be a consent. Data may also be collected to avoid conflicts of interest.

Marketing and customer communication

We process information for sales and marketing purposes. Information about potential customers is also processed for the purpose of communication. Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)

The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. Website visitor information

We process cookies and website visitor information for business development and to ensure the functionality of the website. The information collected may include, for example, the pages visited and the duration of the visit. The legal basis for processing is consent.

Other information

We process information about job seekers and employees for the purpose of performing recruitment decisions and tasks related to employer obligations. Other data to be processed may be data voluntarily provided, for example through contacting, feedback or other communication channels. The legal basis for processing is consent.

How do we retain personal data and how do we use it?

We retain the information for the duration of the customer or partnership relationship and thereafter for the time being. The data may be deleted at the request of the data owner after the termination of the customer or cooperation relationship. For some data, a shorter or longer retention period may be notified separately. Data collected for direct marketing will be deleted as soon as the request for deletion has been processed.

We exercise care in storing and processing information. We secure information security with various technical methods. The data is stored and processed through service providers known to be safe. The data is protected by strictly limited access rights and processed only for the purpose for which it was collected. All personal information is treated with confidence. Personal information is not used for automatic decision-making or profiling.

We will not disclose or transfer the information to third parties unless otherwise agreed. An exception may be an obligation related to legislation or an official obligation, the legality of which is always examined on a case-by-case basis. If, on the other hand, the transfer of data is based on a contractual relationship with the service provider, which may process the data in order to provide services to Her Finland, the proper and lawful processing of personal data is ensured by agreements and, if necessary, non-disclosure agreements.

Data may be transferred outside the EU or the EEA. For example, tool and file management service providers may be located outside of these areas.

All commercial collaborations and affiliates are always marked and visible. If there is an affiliate link, the link may provide Her Finland with a small percentage of commission but does not cost you anything extra. Her Finland and its founder Varpu Rusila is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. What are your rights?

You have the right to request access to your personal data. This includes the right to know what personal data is being processed but also the purpose of that processing.

You have the right to rectification, for example, in the case of incorrect or incomplete information. You may request the completion of personal data or that the processing of data be restricted or deleted on legal grounds, provided that the retention of the data is not based on a legal obligation.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of personal data if their use is based on consent. However, the cancellation shall not affect the prior processing of the data or its lawfulness. If the processing of the data is based on consent, you also have the right to receive this data in machine-readable form and transfer it to another controller.

You have the right to object to certain processing of your personal data, for example, data profiling and processing. You have the right to object when your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes or when the processing is based on legitimate interest. The situation must be specified in the requirement, which we can refuse to comply with only on the grounds provided by law.

You have the right to complain to the competent authority if you feel that we have failed to comply with data protection regulations.
