10 Reasons to Love a Finnish Woman

Loving a Finnish woman is so easy. Everything about her is just so lovable!

Okay, I might be exaggerating a little. But seriously, we come with pretty impressive features. I try to do a good job explaining them to you.

Ten Reasons to Love a Finnish Woman

#1 Fastness

For a Finnish woman, it takes 10 minutes to get ready in the morning. One minute if she oversleeps.

#2 Independence

She is independent and makes her own decisions. That’s why you end up in adventures and/or owning a house with her. You definitely need to know how to argue your points with a Finnish woman. As a result, you have two active persons building up your relationship together.

#3 Looks aren’t everything to her

Compared to many other nationalities, she uses a little amount of money for cosmetics. And she still looks cute! Haha, now that I think about it, maybe this point should be renamed to “Finnish woman is affordable.” Somehow, that sounds so bad (and yet, it’s true)…

#4 Knows a good party

She knows how to celebrate and relax. If her heels are too high at 4 AM, she will walk bare feet home.

#5 Family-orientated

Her loved ones are always a priority to her. She will plan, organize and demand whatever if it is a question of the happiness of her family. On the other hand, she wants a clear distance between her parents and your life together. Only in an emergency, would a Finnish woman ask her mom to stay in her home for a longer time than a couple of nights.

#6 Practicality

She is multi-talented in practical things. She can fix appliances, shorten your jeans, do you a haircut, and make apple jam.

#7 Sportiness

She can carry very heavy stuff without whining. I am not joking. Finnish women are strong and used to taking care of our things.

#8 Efficiency

She is very efficient. Taking care of two babies, writing an academic article, and throwing a surprise birthday party for her mother-in-law is an average week’s agenda.

#9 Hobbies

She is quickly persuaded into trying your hobbies. Many Finnish ladies have fallen in love with their partner’s hobby of downhill biking, mountaineering, or surfing.

#10 Spirit

If you challenge her with an almost-impossible dare, don’t be surprised when she does it.

#Bonus: Baking skills

Of course, there’s a bonus! We are talking about Finnish women here?! So, as a final addition to our lovely list, I’d like to point out that she probably bakes better than your mother.

Does this sound like a Finnish woman you know? Let me know in the comments!

You know what's interesting in #2 part is they are indeed capable of taking care of themselves. But, when they date men from different countries and different cultures, they get a taste of traditional values and chivalry, which makes them appreciated and more feminine. It is a biological construct.

I’ll have to pretty strongly disagree with nr. 1.. I don’t know a single 1 Finnish woman (including myself!) who’d jump out of the bed in the morning and would be ready to go. In fact, Most Finnish women I know, hate waking up, which is the part that takes most of the time..lol. Not getting ready like make-up and such, but the troll part which demands tons of coffee. Family orientation isn’t so accurate either, Finns tend to be there when needed, but don’t get involved in each other’s business like most other cultures (I have lived in multiple different countries, and Finns definitely give the most space to their families).
